Cool off in the rim-flow swimming pool overlooking the picturesque dam. Enjoy a soothing massage on the patio, then, reinvigorated, venture out on a guided bushwalk to seek and observe majestic wildlife.

For birders and wildlife photographers, the location at the water’s edge provides a golden opportunity to capture rare bird species fluttering only a stone’s throw away.

Through groundbreaking anti-poaching measures and dedicated habitat renewal, we are committed to fostering a sustainable symbiosis between the wilderness and local communities, preserving this unspoiled wilderness for the future.

The reserve is proud to be part of the cheetah meta population initiative which is coordinated by the Endangered Wildlife Trust. We also have been home to the award-winning Mabula Ground Hornbill Project since 1998 and have reintroduced wild dogs which marks a significant milestone.
